To some it may seem odd to consider programming an art form, but i think most coders will agree that it is. Think about this; anyone can go to an art school and get a degree. You can be taught all the mechanics of art, but that won't make you a good artist will it? The same mentality applies to programming. Anyone can go to a school and learn how to program, but that doesn't necessarily make a good coder. You either have it or you don't, so to speak. For this reason i strongly think dA should incorporate this style of art. It's not about the tools you have, it's about what you do with those tools isn't it?
Now that we have established that programming is, indeed, a form of art, what should be done about this? Obviously dA should create a category devoted solely to programming. Sub categories could include different languages, tutorials, etc. I'm sure a concise design could be developed with enough thought put into it.
Trance - An out-of-body experience in which one feels they have passed out of the body into another state of being, a rapture, an ecstasy. In a general way, the entranced conditions thus defined are divided into varying degrees of a negative, unconscious state, and into progressive gradations of a positive, conscious, illumining condition.
